Inspired by the sweet-heat chicken snacks served at Southern game-day counters. The mini biscuit cup and hot honey finish are an original Tastelicious party-bite format.
Story
Theo wants a snack that can make the first lap around the room without falling apart. These chicken-filled biscuit bites bring crisp edges, melted cheddar, and hot honey that sticks to your fingers in the best way. They are small enough for a road-trip cooler but loud enough for a full game-day table. Make a double batch if the crowd has already found the dip.

Ingredients
- 1 tube refrigerated mini biscuit dough, 8 ounces
- 8 ounces ground chicken
- 1 scallion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/3 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons hot honey
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Cooking spray, for the pan
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 400 F and coat a 12-cup mini muffin pan with cooking spray.
- Mix the ground chicken with the scallion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt until just combined.
- Separate the biscuit dough into pieces, press each piece into a muffin cup, and leave a small rim above the pan.
- Divide the chicken mixture among the dough cups and sprinkle the cheddar over each one.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the biscuit edges are golden and the chicken reaches 165 F in the center.
- Stir the hot honey with the vinegar, brush it over the warm bites, and finish with parsley before serving.
Chef Tips
- Do not overmix the chicken or the filling can turn dense.
- Press the dough thinly in the center so the biscuit cooks through before the top browns.
- Use a small spoon to portion the filling evenly.
- Brush on the glaze while the bites are hot so it clings to the cheddar and biscuit edges.
Cook's Notes
- Leave a little dough rim above each cup so the filling stays put.
- Mix the chicken only until combined for a tender center.
- Add the vinegar to the hot honey for a sharper glaze that cuts through the cheddar.
